To mark the arrival of the make-up range XIP Professional, Preen Hair and Beauty Dublin held a glamorous launch night featuring the creations of up and coming designer Ellie Connolly. Exquisite.ie’s Aisling O’Loughlin was there….
Stepping through the door in Preen on Dame Street Dublin is like arriving at a Dior shoot, so glamorous is the sight of five models looking outer-worldly in feathered, laser cut creations by new designer Ellie Connolly who has, incredibly, just graduated from NCAD. Preen Art Director Lee Stinton, who’s dropped five stone and is fighting fit thanks to the 16:8 diet, shows his skill for plaits with an array of creative swirls.
CREATIVE PLAITS OFFER A MODERN, SOPHISTICATED LOOK THAT’S ELEGANT WITHOUT BEING TOO FORMAL
Make-up artist Nadine Reid opts for drama with smokey eyes and dark lips using the newly launched XIP make-up range that has just arrived in Preen.
The make-up range only came to market last September and already boasts a strong celebrity following from Nicole Scherzinger and Yasmin Le Bon to Tess Daly. With its crisp white and gold packaging and professional grade powders and brushes, XIP is also cruelty free so there’s no worries about animal testing.
Highly pigmented eyeshadows create a strong, smokey eye look and Nadine wasn’t holding back, choosing berry tones for the lips along with contoured cheekbones.
Preen, which won the Image Business of Beauty Award Best Hair Salon 2017, is busier than ever thanks to the creativity of its team, led by Katherine Sweeney who’s known as one of the best hairstylists in the business having worked as an educator for years. XIP Professional is available to buy at the salon now.
