CATRIONA HANLY A special shoot in celebration of the power of the blouse
Irish designer Catríona Hanly is celebrating the blouse for Autumn Winter 2017 with a name for each one from The Thatcher to The Kate. In this special shoot including Exquisite.ie's Aisling O'Loughlin, actress Aoibhin Garrihy and art expert Roz Lipsett, we see the collection in its full range....
Irish designer Catríona Hanly’s love of luxury and opulence is no accident considering the grandeur she grew up in and is accustomed to thanks to the family owned hotels, Lough Rynn Castle in County Leitrim and Kilronan Castle in County Roscommon. This season the London based designer is celebrating the blouse in all its glory with some familiar faces including Exquisite.ie’s Aisling O’Loughlin, actress and Dancing with the Stars dazzler Aoibhin Garrihy, art expert and model Roz Lipsett, model of the moment Taylor Diggie and ice queen Lasma Kalnaja, both from Assets Model Agency, for a shoot at Kilronan Castle.
The dark interiors of the 18th century Castle lend themselves perfectly to the mood of the campaign, captured by one of Ireland’s leading photographers Eilish McCormick with Peter Mark’s Michael Doyle as Creative Director, Paula Callan on makeup and hair by Lisa Hollingsworth.
This season Catriona Hanly has a name for every blouse from The Thatcher to The Kate, all offering an air of sophistication and grown up allure.
There’s also a return of the Parisian chic favourite, Chanel blouse in black and white, that never fails to wow for being unapologetically froufou.
Not one to hold back on embellishment, Catríona added the dramatic creations of The Season Hats for a more is more finish. As Catríona would say, ‘When in doubt, overdress’.
Catríona Hanly studied at Central Saint Martin’s in London and the Barbara Bourke College of Fashion in Dublin. She is known for her opulent jewellery designs, lush interiors work and now for her luxurious fashion designs and creative photo shoots.
